Action Research:  This research paper asked the question " Will the use of a method of ACT reading that gives the students the answers to the questions following the reading but requires students to find the location of the correct answer in the text improve the self-efficacy of ninth grade Social Studies students as they prepare for standardized tests?"  This question is relevant for an academic world dominated by standardized testing.  Though the conclusion was "inconclusive," the paper reflects the action research process.  This paper can be found here.

Academic Research:  I had the privilege of taking a study tour of Israel in 2011.  Israel is a fascinating place because of its historical and religious importance, but it also has a lot to teach students in a social studies classroom because of its current political situation.  After my trip, I wrote a paper on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, recounting the history of the location and using that as a springboard into the modern day political and religious upheaval over the site.  This paper can be found here.

Another academic research paper I wrote compared modern views of justice to a Biblical view of Justice.  This paper can be found here.
